Newegg.com Showcases Innovative and Fun Technologies at Interactive “Tinker Box” Exhibit During the Conference

CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA–(Marketwire – February 12, 2010) – Newegg inc., the second-largestonline-only retailer in the United States, is a principal sponsor andparticipant in TEDActive 2010 held at the Riviera Resort in Palm Springs,Calif. from February 9-13. At the event, Newegg will present “Tinker Box,”an interactive workshop booth where visitors can learn and play withinnovative new technologies.

Newegg experts are available throughout the day at Newegg’s Tinker Box,assisting visitors and hosting a variety of workshops, interactive gamesand installations. among the activities open to all attendees are: TinkerTrivia, a challenging game of facts and figures; Bobbing for Build, inwhich participants dive into a giant box of packing peanuts and attempt tofish out enough parts to build a complete PC; Tinker thoughts, aninteractive wall that can “read your thoughts” and recognize PC components;LED Graffiti, a workshop that lets visitors create their own glowingguerilla graffiti using magnetic mini LED infiltrators; Tinker Art, whichallows participants to create their own multicolored light designs andBristlebot race, an electronic toothbrush-robot race.
