Women’s business center begins free seminar in Melbourne

MELBOURNE —The Florida Institute of Technology Women’s Business Center has organized a monthly roundtable series, “2010 The Year to Grow Your Business.”

The seminars are free and will be from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Allen S. Henry Building Large Conference Room on campus.

The schedule is as follows:

March 26 An Entrepreneur’s story — Carol Craig

April 30 Money Matters — Mary Ellen Baldwin and Debbie Pavlakos

May 21 Your Business plan — Tim Muth

June 25 Business Development — Kathy Cobb & Edna Patten

July 30 Guerilla Marketing — Steve Thomas and Beth Gitlin

Aug. 27 More Money Matters — Mary Ellen Baldwin and Debbie Pavlakos

Sept. 24 Business Set-up — Steve Thomas and Debbie Goode

Oct. 29 Business Operations — Beth Gitlin and Donn Miller- Kermani

Nov. 19 — Present your plan — Panel of successful entrepreneurs will evaluate your business plan

The roundtables are designed as short seminars with roundtable discussion. this format is meant to encourage peer-to-peer mentoring as well as mentoring from the expert in a group setting.

The Allen S. Henry Building is at 150 W. University Blvd. in Melbourne, on the south campus next to the Nathan M. Bisk College of Business and just south of the Clemente Center for Sports and Recreation.
